About Us

Welcome to Las Paredes in the city of San Rafael, Mendoza province, the place where we present this new bet: Scrugli C Vineyards and Lodge. With more than 80 hectares, enjoying a privileged environment: semi-arid climate, rocky valley vineyards with sandy soil, ideal for good drainage of the vines and with a large number of hours of sunshine per day. Thanks to these factors, we find in our farms the ideal terroir for growing grapes. All our vineyards are supplied with the purest water from the Atuel River and Diamante River.

Our winery was born in 1975, together with one of the most renowned families among Mendoza winemakers with an Italian tradition who came to Argentina, like so many European immigrants in search of a better future. Thus, as in love with these lands, they decide to settle in San Rafael, a place that symbolized the promised land.

After almost 50 years, and the passage of several generations working their land, the winery project is continued by Carlos Scrugli, passionate and knowledgeable about Argentine viticulture, who decides to launch his line of wines on the market, whose grapes they are harvested manually in vineyards nourished by innumerable memories.

VINEYARDS

This is how Finca Da Carlo was born, which bears his name and tradition. Scrugli Italian-Argentine surname descendant of nobles from the beautiful city of Tropea. From here we obtain: red varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Bonarda, Petit Verdot and white varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling.

At Scrugli C. we have made a pact with the sun by planting pa-cimas (circular plots ripening Malbec) so that its rays reach with greater intensity, softening each of the vines. Our intention is that they mature evenly, without being carried away, in search of the perfect Malbec for our wines. This corner of the farm represents our identity: the mandala.
